Premier Inn Stockton On Tees Teesside Hotel
So, there I was, driving through the winding roads of Teesside, with my satnav taking me on a merry dance through Stockton On Tees. I'd been on the road for hours, and all I could think about was a comfortable bed and a hot shower. I'd heard good things about the Premier Inn in Stockton, and I was hoping it would live up to its reputation.
First Impressions
Pulling up to the Premier Inn Stockton On Tees Teesside Hotel, I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised. It's not one of those towering monoliths that can make you feel small, but rather a welcoming, well-maintained building that blends in nicely with its surroundings. The signage was clear, and the parking was plentiful - always a plus in my book!
As I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly face at the reception. No stuffy formality here, just a warm smile and a quick check-in process. I was in and out in no time, and I could already feel the tension from the road melting away.

Room with a View
My room was clean, bright, and surprisingly spacious. The bed looked inviting, and the en-suite bathroom was spotless. I've stayed in places where the bathroom could double as a crime scene, so this was a refreshing change!
The view from my window was pretty decent too. I could see the River Tees meandering its way through the town, and it was nice to watch the world go by for a bit.

Little Extras
Now, I'm not one to get too excited about hotel amenities, but the Premier Inn Stockton has a few little extras that made my stay even more enjoyable. The Hypnos bed was incredibly comfortable - I sank into it like a cloud, and I slept like a baby. And the free Wi-Fi was a godsend, allowing me to catch up on some work (and a bit of Netflix) without any buffering issues.
The on-site restaurant, Thyme, was a nice touch too. I popped down for breakfast the next morning, and the full English breakfast was just what I needed to set me up for the day. The coffee was decent too, which is always a bonus!
Location, Location, Location
The Premier Inn's location is another plus point. It's just a short drive from the A66 and the A19, making it an ideal stopover for those traveling up and down the country. Stockton High Street is also within walking distance, so if you fancy a bit of retail therapy or a night out on the town, you're spoiled for choice.

And if you're a fan of the great outdoors, the North York Moors National Park is just a short drive away. I didn't have time to explore this time around, but it's definitely on my list for next time.
Final Thoughts
So, would I recommend the Premier Inn Stockton On Tees Teesside Hotel? Absolutely. It's not the fanciest place you'll ever stay, but it's clean, comfortable, and great value for money. The staff were friendly, the location was convenient, and the little extras made my stay all the more enjoyable.
Next time you find yourself in Teesside, give it a try. You might just find, like I did, that sometimes, the best places to stay are the ones that don't try too hard to be something they're not.
