Premier Inn Blackpool North Pier Hotel Blackpool

Premier Inn Blackpool North Pier Hotel Blackpool

So, there I was, strolling along Blackpool's promenade, the sea breeze ruffling my hair, when I spotted North Pier looming ahead. I'd heard tales of this place since I was a kid - the oldest of Blackpool's three piers, it's seen more than its fair share of history. As I walked towards it, I couldn't help but wonder, "What's that grand building standing tall behind it?" Little did I know, that was my home for the night - the Premier Inn Blackpool North Pier.

First Impressions

First things first, the location is spot on. It's right there, staring at the Irish Sea, with North Pier practically on its doorstep. I mean, come on, how many hotels can boast a view like that? I checked in, and the staff were friendly, chatty even, which is always a plus. They told me all about the hotel's history, how it's been standing since the 1800s, with a few modern upgrades here and there. I felt like I was staying in a piece of Blackpool's history, which was pretty cool.

Room with a View

My room was clean, modern, and, most importantly, quiet. I mean, you're right by the sea and the promenade, but you'd never know it once you're inside. The best part? That view. My room looked straight out at the sea, and I could see the rollercoasters on the Pleasure Beach in the distance. It was like having my own little slice of Blackpool's coastline. I could've spent hours just watching the waves, but I had exploring to do!

Dining and Drinks

The on-site Thyme Restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I'd heard Premier Inns can be a bit hit and miss with their food, but not here. The menu was full of local favourites, and the fish and chips were some of the best I've had. The staff were attentive, and the atmosphere was lively, with plenty of locals popping in for a bite. Oh, and the Beefeater Bar next door was a great spot for a nightcap. They've got a good selection of local beers, and the staff know their stuff when it comes to mixing a mean cocktail.

Sleep Tight

After a day of exploring, I was ready to call it a night. The bed was comfortable, and the room was dark and quiet. I slept like a baby, which is saying something, considering I'm usually a light sleeper. When I woke up in the morning, the sun was streaming in through the window, and I could hear the seagulls squawking outside. It was the perfect start to the day.

Breakfast and Beyond

Breakfast was a buffet affair, with all the usual suspects - full English, cereals, pastries, you name it. The coffee was decent, and the staff were friendly, even at that ungodly hour. After breakfast, I took a stroll along North Pier. It was quiet, peaceful even, a world away from the bustling promenade. I could've stayed there all day, but I had more of Blackpool to explore.
