What Time Does Eldon Square Close

So, there I was, wandering around Eldon Square, Newcastle, like a tourist in my own city. I'd spent the day exploring the quirky shops, grabbed a bite at the food court, and now, I was wondering, "What time does Eldon Square close?" I mean, I didn't want to be that person locked inside a shopping centre overnight, right?

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Why didn't you just check your phone, genius?" Well, my phone was on 2% and I was saving that precious juice for an emergency. You know, like finding out if there's a secret underground tunnel leading to the pub. Priorities, folks.

Anyway, I digress. Let's get down to business. Eldon Square, Newcastle's bustling shopping centre, isn't your average nine-to-five kind of place. It's open later than your average Joe's office hours, which is great news for us night owls. But, like all good things, it does have a bedtime.

Weekday Closure Time

Alright, so here's the deal. On your average weekday, Eldon Square closes its doors at 8 PM. That's right, you've got until 8 PM to finish your shopping, grab a bite, or just enjoy the buzz. But remember, while the shopping centre itself closes at 8, some stores might close earlier, so keep an eye out for those.

Now, you might be wondering, "What if I'm in the middle of a shopping spree and I lose track of time?" Well, fear not, dear shopper. Eldon Square has got you covered. They've got these handy signs around the place that remind you of the closing time. Plus, they'll make an announcement over the tannoy when it's getting close to closing time. So, you've got no excuse to be that person frantically rushing to the exit at 8:01 PM.

Weekend and Bank Holiday Closure Time

Now, let's talk weekends. On Saturdays, Eldon Square keeps its doors open a tad later, closing at 7 PM. It's like they know we all want to make the most of our weekends, right?

As for Sundays, it's an early night for Eldon Square. They close their doors at 5 PM. So, if you're planning a Sunday shopping spree, make sure you're in and out by 5 PM. And if you're thinking, "But what about those last-minute Sunday essentials?" Don't worry, some stores do stay open later, but it's always best to check first.

Now, let's talk bank holidays. Eldon Square follows the same opening hours as on a Sunday, so it's an early 5 PM close. But remember, some stores might have different opening hours, so it's always a good idea to check before you head out.

Public Holidays

Alright, now let's talk public holidays. Eldon Square is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. But here's the thing, some stores might still be open, so it's always worth checking if you're desperate for a last-minute gift or a post-Christmas sale.

On other public holidays, like Easter Sunday or Bank Holiday Mondays, Eldon Square follows its usual Sunday opening hours, closing at 5 PM. But again, some stores might have different opening hours, so it's always a good idea to check first.

Late Night Shopping

Now, you might be thinking, "What if I'm a serious shopper who needs more time?" Well, Eldon Square has got you covered with their late-night shopping events. Throughout the year, they host late-night shopping nights, where the centre stays open until 8 PM or even later. These events are usually held in the lead-up to major holidays, so keep an eye out for them.
