What Should My Wife And I Be For Halloween
So, there I was, last Halloween, standing in our kitchen, holding a half-eaten apple, trying to figure out what the heck I was supposed to be. My wife, Sarah, was already dressed as a cat - again - and I was feeling the pressure. I mean, I love the woman, but every year she expects me to match her level of creativity, and let's face it, I'm more of a 'wear-a-suit-and-call-it-a-day' kind of guy.
But this year, I'm determined to step up my game. I want us to be epic together, you know? Something that'll make our neighbors say, "Wow, they really outdid themselves this time!"
So, what should we be?
I've been racking my brain, and I thought I'd share some of my (and Sarah's) ideas with you. Maybe you're in the same boat, trying to figure out the perfect couple's costume. Or maybe you're just here for the laughs. Either way, welcome, friend!
Must Read
1. Pop Culture Icons
This one's a no-brainer, right? We could be Harry and Meghan, or maybe Bridgerton's Daphne and Simon. But let's be real, Sarah would insist on being the main character, and I'd end up as some random extra. Again.
And don't even get me started on the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a space warrior and his adorable green sidekick? But where do you even find a Baby Yoda costume that's not a plush toy?

2. Foodie Favorites
Sarah's all about the food costumes. Last year, she was a pizza slice, and I was the sad, wilted lettuce on the side. I'm not sure what that says about our relationship, but it was certainly... memorable.
This year, she's suggesting we go as a taco and a margarita. I mean, I love Mexican food as much as the next guy, but I'm not sure I want to spend my night answering the question, "Is that a taco on your head?"

3. Movie Classics
Sarah's also been throwing around some movie classic ideas. She wants to be Elsa from Frozen, and she's trying to convince me to be Olaf. I mean, I love the kid, but I'm not sure I'm ready to commit to a snowman costume. Plus, have you seen the size of those snowballs?
And then there's the Jurassic Park idea. Sarah would be the T-Rex, and I'd be the tourist she's about to eat. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I mean, I love a good scare, but I'm not sure I want to spend my night running from my own wife.

4. Something Completely Different
And then, there's the wildcard. Sarah's been talking about going as something completely different. Like, aliens or robots or something. I'm all for it, but I'm not sure I trust her with the craft supplies. Last time she got her hands on a glue gun, our cat ended up with a tiny top hat and a monocle.
But you know what? Despite the crazy ideas and the half-eaten apples, I love that we do this together. It's our thing, you know? Our annual tradition of trying to outdo ourselves and ending up with something ridiculous and wonderful.

So, what's the verdict?
I don't know about you, but I'm still undecided. I'm open to suggestions, folks. What do you think we should be? Leave a comment, and let's see if we can't come up with something amazing.
And hey, even if we end up as a couple of bananas (Sarah's idea, not mine), at least we'll be together. And that's what Halloween's all about, right?
Happy Halloween, everyone! May your costumes be epic, your candy be plentiful, and your nights be filled with laughter and love. And remember, no matter what you end up being, it's the company that makes the costume.
