So, there I was, scrolling through my Tumblr dashboard the other day, when I stumbled upon this post that had me in stitches. It was a simple question, really: "What are you being for Halloween?" But the thing is, it wasn't just any question. It was a Tumblr question, which means it was open to interpretation, and oh boy, did people interpret it!

Now, I'm sure you're thinking, "What's the big deal? It's just a Halloween question." Well, friend, let me tell you, Tumblr is a whole other universe. It's a place where a simple question can spark a thousand creative responses, and "What are you being for Halloween?" was no exception.

From the Obvious to the Outrageous

I mean, sure, there were the usual responses. You know, the ones we've all seen a million times. The "sexy" versions of everything from nurses to dinosaurs, the group costumes that require a minimum of four people, and the classic "I'm not dressing up, I'm just going as myself" joke.

But then, there were the Tumblr responses. The ones that made you stop and think, "Well, that's... different." Like the person who was going as a "living room rug" (complete with a DIY area rug costume), or the one who was planning to be a "vegan hot dog" (yes, you read that right).

When "Unique" Meets "Tumblr"

And let's not forget the ones that were just... well, Tumblr. You know, the ones that were more about making a statement than just having a fun costume. Like the person who was going as "a wall" to protest immigration policies, or the one who was being "a tree" to raise awareness about deforestation.

Now, I'm not saying these aren't important issues. In fact, I think it's great that people are using their costumes to raise awareness. But you've got to admit, it's a bit different from the classic "trick or treat" vibe, right?
