The Apprentice Who Got Fired Tonight

So, you won't believe what happened last night, right? I mean, I'm still shaking my head over here. You remember that episode of The Apprentice, yeah? The one where they had to sell those... what were they even called? Those weird, inflatable things that looked like they were designed by a toddler on a sugar high?

Anyway, so there's this guy, Tom, right? Nice guy, always seemed to have his head in the game. I mean, sure, he had his moments - who doesn't? But last night? Wow. Just... wow.

So, they're all there, in the boardroom, and Lord Sugar is giving them the look. You know the one - the 'I'm not impressed' look. And then he says, "Tom, you're the project manager. You're the one who's supposed to be leading this team." And Tom, he just... he just freezes. Like, deer in headlights, you know?

Now, I've seen some cringe-worthy moments on The Apprentice, but this? This was next level. Tom starts stammering, trying to pass the blame onto his team. I mean, sure, his team wasn't exactly stellar, but come on, Tom! You're the PM! You're supposed to take the hit, not throw your team under the bus like that.

And then, the kicker. Lord Sugar asks him, "Tom, what's the one thing you've learned from this experience?" And Tom, he looks at him, dead in the eye, and says, "I've learned that I'm not cut out for this." I mean, really? After all this time, all these challenges, that's the best you've got, Tom?

So, yeah, you can guess what happened next. Lord Sugar didn't even hesitate. "Tom," he says, "you're fired." And just like that, it was over. Tom's Apprentice journey came to an abrupt end. I mean, I felt bad for the guy, I really did. But come on, Tom! You had one job!
