Off-roster guns, my friend, are like the secret menu at your favorite burger joint. They're not openly advertised, but they're totally legal and can be yours if you know the right folks.

In California, the state keeps a list of handguns that are allowed for sale. These are the "roster" guns. But what about the ones that didn't make the cut? That's where our off-roster heroes come in!

How Do They Make the List?

Now, you might be wondering, "How do these guns not make the roster?" Well, it's all about safety features. The state wants guns with things like magazine safety devices and loaded chamber indicators.

But some guns, they're like, "Nah, we're good. We don't need all that extra stuff." And California's like, "Alright, fair enough. But you're off the roster."
