Halloween Costumes For Group Of 4 Girls
So, there I was, standing in the middle of my living room, surrounded by a sea of costumes, feeling like I'd just stepped into a real-life game of "Guess Who". You know, the one where you have to ask yes or no questions to figure out who your opponent is? Except in this case, I was trying to figure out what we were going to be for Halloween.
Let me rewind a bit. It was a few days before Halloween, and I was supposed to be planning a group costume for me and my three besties. We'd decided to do something together this year, but the question was, what?
I mean, we could go the classic route - witches, cats, ghosts. But where's the fun in that? We've done those a million times. Plus, I was feeling like we needed something that would make us stand out in the crowd. Something epic.
Must Read
Brainstorming Session
So, I called up the girls, and we had a good old-fashioned brainstorming session. We threw out ideas left and right - superheroes, movie characters, even food (because, pizza). But nothing seemed to stick. Until...
Until, my friend Sarah piped up with, "What about something from our favorite book or movie?"

And just like that, the lightbulb moment happened. We all looked at each other, and simultaneously, we all said, "Harry Potter!"
Why Harry Potter, You Ask?
Well, for starters, it's a classic. I mean, who doesn't love Harry Potter? Plus, there are so many characters to choose from, we could all be something different. And let's not forget the magic.
I mean, who wouldn't want to wave a wand and say "Lumos" all night? Plus, it's a great excuse to dress up in robes and look super comfy while doing it. Win-win, right?

Divvying Up the Roles
So, we got to work. I was Harry, of course. I mean, who else was going to take on the Boy Who Lived? Sarah was Hermione - the brains of the operation. And my other two friends, Emily and Lisa, decided to be Ron and Ginny respectively.
We spent the next few days gathering our costumes. I found a great Harry Potter robe online, and Sarah already had a Hermione wig from a previous costume. Emily and Lisa found their outfits at a local thrift store - score!

The Final Touches
But the pièce de résistance? The wands, of course. We spent hours in the craft store, picking out the perfect sticks and decorating them with paint and glitter. We even made a little trip to the dollar store for some cheap plastic rings to use as Remembralls.
And let me tell you, when we all stood together in our costumes, we felt like we could take on Lord Voldemort himself. We were ready to take on the night, and we knew we were going to be the talk of the town.
Halloween Night
And we were right. Halloween night was a blast. We walked down the street, wands at the ready, and people couldn't get enough of us. We took pictures with kids, posed for selfies with adults, and even had a few people ask us if we were the real deal.

But the best part? The best part was being with my friends, laughing and joking, and feeling like we were part of something bigger than ourselves. Like we were really in Hogwarts, fighting the good fight against the forces of darkness.
So, if you're looking for a group costume this year, I highly recommend going with something from Harry Potter. It's classic, it's fun, and it's a great excuse to spend time with your friends. Plus, who doesn't love a little bit of magic in their life?
And who knows? Maybe next year, we'll take on a different fandom. But for now, I'm still riding the Harry Potter high. Until next time, fellow muggles!
