Greater Anglia Services Disrupted After Person Hit By Train

Greater Anglia Services Disrupted After Person Hit By Train

So, you won't believe what happened on my commute this morning. I mean, I've heard of people being fashionably late, but this was a whole new level!

Picture this: I'm standing on the platform at Liverpool Street, minding my own business, when the tannoy crackles to life. "Ladies and gentlemen, we regret to inform you..." - Ugh, here we go again, I thought. But then, the punchline: "A person has been hit by a train." I mean, who even does that?!

Welcome to the World of Greater Anglia

Now, I'm no stranger to delays and cancellations. I mean, I've been commuting so long, I've started referring to myself as 'The Commuter' - like some sort of superhero, but with less spandex and more snotty noses.

But this? This was something else. I looked around, and everyone was just standing there, jaws on the floor. I mean, we've all had those mornings where we'd rather just stay in bed, but this was taking it to a whole new level!

When Life Gives You Lemons...

So, there we were, stuck on the platform, with no trains in sight. I mean, what do you do in a situation like that? I started playing 'I Spy' with myself. I spied a pigeon. Then I spied another pigeon. Then I realized I was just watching pigeons fight over a chip. riveting stuff, I know.

But then, something amazing happened. A guy pulled out a guitar and started playing. I mean, talk about turning lemons into lemonade! Before I knew it, we were all singing along. I mean, who needs a train when you've got a spontaneous flash mob, right?

But Seriously, Folks...

Okay, okay, so maybe it wasn't all fun and games. I mean, let's not forget why we were all there in the first place. It's a reminder that these things can happen, and they're no joke. I mean, I'm all for a good sing-along, but not at the expense of someone's safety.

Greater Anglia, bless their hearts, were doing their best to keep us updated. I mean, their Twitter feed was blowing up faster than a celebrity's phone after a leaked tape. They were even using emojis - I mean, if that's not a sign of the apocalypse, I don't know what is!

And Then There Was Light...

After what felt like an eternity, the tannoy crackled back to life. "Ladies and gentlemen, we're pleased to inform you that services have resumed." Cheers erupted. I mean, it was like we'd just won the lottery. I've never been so happy to see a train in my life!

So, there you have it. My morning from hell turned into a morning to remember. I mean, who needs a boring old commute when you can have a real-life drama? Just, you know, maybe without the whole 'person hit by a train' thing. Let's leave that for the movies, yeah?

Until next time, folks. Keep your chins up, and your eyes on the pigeons. You never know what you might see!
